The Chuck Norris hype all over the internet is a joke. I don't think anyone is actually serious about it. Of course, now that I've said that, Chuck Norris will appear, and kill me with a spinning back fist to the temple, followed by an axe kick to the solar plexis.

Chuck Norris really isn't that great, he is just this guy from an old TV show that on basically every episode gave someone a roundhouse kick. All the "chuck norris fact generater" things are really just jokes.

he is an excellent martial artist, not a fake as many movie martial artists are. He first became known for his martial arts then went to movies. so he is the real mcCoy
He is attractive white male of marrying age so that creates a solid fan base with unmarried and even married women.
Guys relate to his bona fide toughness and his settling quarrels with his fists. and his TRUCK. Real Guys drive TRUCKS.
He is a country western guy and so are many TV viewers
He has a sort of deadpan acting style that mimics John Wayne and seems to imply a ruggedness of the strong silent type of film star, like Gary cooper. (actually he is just a bad actor but most people are dumb about that)
He has good handlers that carefully polish ands protect his image. He never plays the bad guy but always the white hat cowboy hero type. Fans like that.
He always plays to win, always wins and never betrays his values or integrity ( on film anyway) Fans like that
He uses manly violence to overcome in a macho way but never resorts to it needlessly or against the wrong people. He can also resort to gunplay if needed, but always a last resort and for good purpose.
He is a policeman on the side of law and order.
He is a gentleman and always protects and defends females, never abuses them respects them and punishs abusers unmercifully on their behalf. He has a soft side and likes kids and dogs and birngs flowers home on mothers day.
He has a black sidekick that he is equal with and he shows no racism at all, quite the reverse.
His shows are simple trite plots that are predictable and certain people like that too. They know what they are going to get when they tune in. Lots of action, a fistfight or two, some shooting (to wound only) of bad guys. some pretty girl(s) thrown in but not in a slutty way. The good guys always win. no doubts
Clean decent American drama and humor that is patriotic to boot. Family shows that you can watch with the kids and that teach moral values and make sense.
Scorn for drugs and dealers. No excess drinking or any smoking.
He is the modern day equivalent of Hopalong Cassidy or Roy Rogers and by Golly a lot of people miss those guys and those days and he brings it all back and makes it seem possible to have hope and faith in the American way,
Kudos and Bravo to this major star.
( I personally find the stories a bit tiresome and boring but I am old and jaded and cynical. nevertheless I know enough about reality to be able to expalin his popularity to you) I prefer the work of Quinten Tarantino and I know I am sick.

chuck norris is a killin machine. in all of his movies his enemies survive for like 2 seconds once they appear. the internet thing is a big joke and the stories are hilarious like "Chuck Norris's tears can cure cancer.....too bad Chuck Norris never cries."
