No matter how mean they are just be urself and be nice...it will annoy them and make them nicer too lol...with experience no matter how mean people can get they can be a good person too just give them a chance and see what they can do...its not pointless because if u r nice to the meanest people you must have a heart of gold...n u r willing to be nice to them u r just too kind lol =)

Because too many people have no patience, they are inconsiderate, and they just don't care. Some people (bullies) find it fun to be mean. You don't have to like these people, but you shouldn't be mean to them back. This doesn't mean you have to be friends with them or hang out with them. It's better for you to just walk away or ignore them. Soon they'll get the point. You're a good person for being kind to them. That's respected.

I would just remember karma. Usually when people have a string of bad luck it follows something that they did that was wrong or dishonest.
I would say say the same, keep on being nice. I get tired of the same thing, but there are people nowadays who were never taught simple manners and/or they are unsocial.

I know what you mean I am nice too. I give classmates answers just to be nice and helpful, but i always hear when i leave they talk about me. and me being nice i never can tell them off, bcuz that aint my style. I like people knowing me as nice, but like you said its pointless being nice to mean people they still are going to be mean.
I think people take their flustrations out on people making them come off as mean.

So many people just dont care about anyone else but themselves. I try to understand everyone and not judge or be mean. Everyone has their own lifestyle/issues/ways that nobody else should ever judge or be mean. I look past all that stuff for the real person inside.

Once upon a time there was a wise man
who used to go to the ocean
to do his writing.
He had a habit of walking
on the beach
before he began his work.
One day he was walking along
the shore.
As he looked down the beach,
he saw a human
figure moving like a dancer.
He smiled to himself to think
of someone who would
dance to the day.
So he began to walk faster
to catch up.
As he got closer, he saw
that it was a young man
and the young man wasn't dancing,
but instead he was reaching
down to the shore,
picking up something
and very gently throwing it
into the ocean.
As he got closer he called out,
"Good morning! What are you doing?"
The young man paused,
looked up and replied,
"Throwing starfish in the ocean."
"I guess I should have asked,
why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?"
"The sun is up and the tide is going out.
And if I don't throw them in they'll die."
"But, young man, don't you realize that
there are miles and miles of beach
and starfish all along it.
It's pointless!"
The young man listened politely.
Then bent down, picked up another starfish
and threw it into the sea,
past the breaking waves and said-
"It wasn't pointless to him."

Be nice. It shows you're a good person. Besides, nothing bothers mean people more than nice people.

Your going to have to stop being nice to people. They will take you and chew you up and spit you out.....
People will try to hurt you and bring you down. They see you as sweet and happy and it drives them crazy. They don't want you to be happy...
The only people that will love you the way you truly are is your family. Watch out for friends too....
Sorry it's life that is how people are.
