The best you can find! A harley will run fine on any regular gas, but the higher octane fuels are cooler burning and have better additives that will keep you carb or injectors cleaner, longer. A cooler running engine, with higher ignition capacity is a plus in an air cooled engine. I suggest that you swith to synthetic as son as your warantee runs out. Better protection, and again, cooler running engine.

well it is brand new... it would be a waste to put premium fuel in. Some people swear that they're bike runs better on it but I disagree. Now if you were getting pre-ignition (2006- not gonna happen unless you get some reaaallly bad gas) then it would be worth putting high octane in. I have a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja and I use regular.

You buy it for you, or for your girlfriend? The 883 is the chick bike you know. But, to answer your question, if you plan on getting the most you can out of the 45 horsepower that moped, er, uh, I mean bike is rated at, better use the higher octane.
