Some books have inspired me.
Martin Eden, by Mark Twain
That would be a book for one who dreams doing something with his/her life. I didn't like the end, though.
The Idiot, by Dostoievski
That would be a hard reading, but it will worth the whole and every second spent reading. Nothing it is at it looks. One has to search for his own if the truth is what he is looking for.
Space, Time, Universe by Lee Smolin
That's a book of science. I one likes to question things a lot, that would be a good challange.
The Resurection (if my translation is right) by Lev Tolstoi
Love it's a difficult thing to handle. It takes more strenghts than weaknesses to be able to love. Are you a strong person?

This book grabs you from page 1 and NEVER lets go. Just when you think you've got it figured out it throws another twist at you. Have lent this book to dozens of people(and replaced it 7---yes - 7 times)who like it so much they pass it on to family and friends and I never see it again !! The book ? Wild Justice by Phillip Margolin. Awesome read-you will not be able to put it down --even if you not a regular reader !!

Count of Montecristo by Alexander Dumas. The hero is Edmond Dantés, a young French sailor who, falsely accused of treason, is arrested on his wedding day and imprisoned in the island fortress of Château d'If. After staging a dramatic escape he sets out to discover the fabulous treasure of Monte Cristo and catch up with his enemies. A novel of enormous tension and excitement, Monte Cristo is also a tale of obsession and revenge, with Dantés, believing himself to be an `Angel of Providence', pursuing his vengeance
to the bitter end before realizing that he himself is a victim of fate. The author did a great job describing the emotions of the prisoner.Disbelief, denial, self pity, madness, apathy and finally hope. For God's sake don't see any of the movies based on the book. They don't do justice to the book.
Dresden file book series by Jim Butcher. There are 8 books in the series beginning with stormfront. It narrates the story of Harry Dresden, chicago's only professional wizard who works as a detective. He stands between the general population who is ignorant about the supernatural world and the monsters-vampires,werewolves,fallen angels, fey. He is aided by Bob,a talking skull.Karrin Murphy-a police officer and Thomas-a white court vampire.

Run With the Horsemen by Ferrol Sams
Its about a boy growing up in the deep south during the depression, kkk, and growing up on a farm. If you are a southerner you will laugh outloud and nod your head in agreement. Ferrol Sams is from my home state, Georgia.
I found him when reading local authors. This particular book is part of a trilogy and takes you thru WWII with the same character.

Ray Bradbury's 'Fahrenheit 451.' Um, because in that story, books are knowledge, and by reading your breaking the law, even though it is a science fiction novel, it seems to be happening today. Books are the answer's to all of life's questions

The Captain Underpants Series by Dave Pilkey and the Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling. The C.U. Series are extremely funny and the H.P. Series are full of mystery, action, and some comedy.
