Every time i try to log in the server says its a longer wait...

possible reasons:
1) not 18 yrs old in your account
2) very slow internet
3) a firewall blocking your chat client
4) firewall may alow outgoing but not incoming data stream
3) reinstall the client (prob a bug)
4) banned from servise (contact your supplier)
5) restart your pc.
6) does a guardian or netnanny work on your pc?
7) do you have complete access to the pc (only in some clients, not in yahoo,msn, gmail,aol,irc)
8)haveyou ever been reported for abuse? contactcustomer care in that case!
if its none ofthese....god speed
your account has your birthday older than 18 if you have chatted before with the same id
turn firewall of and try restarting the pc. and remove auto start of firewall on startup ( for that asuming windows, start > run> type 'msconfig' without quotes) then click start up, uncheck the file corresponting to your firewall, security suite)

Try restarting it and try again if ur talking about Yahoo! Chat...
Or it could be something in the firewall that it has disabled,,,it

either it is blocked in your firewall, or it is just too busy
