All persons are self serving. We would all like to think we perform magnanimous gestures towards others, but in the end it always serve ourselves when doing the act or gesture. We might make more money, acquire more power, feel like we love our children more, resolve or guilt or feel right with God, however, in the end it's still all about us.

Absolutely. And there isn't a dime's worth of difference between them and the Republicans, also.

The political party system is a true evil. Anything that can be done to reduce or eliminate party politics in this country needs to be done.

For example: Popular election of the U.S. President and the Vice-President (no candidate gets to name his running mate) and Congress-People by a simple majority ON THE INTERNET in ONE DAY. We have the technology to insure one-person-one-vote, with absolute confirmation of electorate identities.

Why do party politics persist? Because it is in the self-interest of those corrupt individuals in Congress and the White House to have them persist.

Here's a quote from Thomas Jefferson. "A little revolution now and then is a good thing; the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. (1787) " My paraphrase of Thomas Jefferson's remark: A little revolution now and then does wonders to promote real Liberty (with a capital "L").

No more than the Republicans. Really, this sort of name calling is unproductive. Politics should be about issues that matter.
