i want to screenprint my own teeshirts and postcards and album-covers. a friend of mine used to do it in our basement and i never understood how he did it. please don't respond telling me to get that iron-on transfer paper for my computer-printer. that's not what i'm talking about. any other advice on screen-printing or image transfering would be great! thanks!

You sound serious so this is what you MUST do. Google in Scott Fresener. Find his website. Buy his book "How to Print T-Shirts for Fun & Profit" or something like that. Scott is the guru of the T-Shirt industry. That one book is all you need to get started. He will show you how to do it from the ground up without spending thousands of dollars. Warning: Don't waste your money on any other book. All screen printers consider this book their shop bible.
If you decide to make this into a business you are going to be blown away by how busy you will be.
