I am doing some research on the market potential of Alcohol based bio-fuels. What are the biggest market segments for bio-fuels? Who are the early-adopter buyers? Why do they like bio fuels? Do they really care about the environment or are they more interested in decreasing their dependency on fossil fuels? How much fuel would they really use in a years (my brainstorm is leading me towards wealthy land owners and farmers). Thoughts?

Many state programs have required that gasoline based fleet vehicles be phased out over time; all new vehicle purchases must run on alternative fuels (bio-diesel, ethanol, etc.)

You may wish to contact a few state departments of motor vehicles to further research compliance with these programs.

Hope this helps!

The biggest early adopters are solvents industry not fuels users. If you can make it cheaper than anyone else, they will buy it up and increase their own profits.
