Of course, Richard Petty. He doesn't get the name The King for thrill's sake. Not only was he a hell of a driver, but he was also a great fae for Nascar.

I think Dale Earnhart I choose him over Petty because Petty won most of his races and titles during a different era the sport was far more competitive and more regulated by the time Earnhart came along. A lot of Petty's wins came at a time when Nascar was running races all over the place and sometimes more than one a week that's a totally differant landscape than Earnhart found when he came on the scene. And I was never an Earnhart fan but I have to give credit where credit is due

I personally think that the greatest Nascar dynasty ever would be the Allison family-hands down. Aside from being great drivers, they never forgot who they were or where they came from. I live in their hometown of Hueytown and the family was always down-to-earth, approachable and just "good old guys". My husband used to play golf with Davey and they were not even friends. They just usually played the same time each week and would play together if they ran into each other. How many celebs do that?
But, I have learned that as far as a sport goes, Nascar tends to have biggest heart.

Dale Earnhardt SR. was and still is the most known nascar driver ever and will not be forgotten for a lot of years to come as people who follow nasacar and saw him drive will tell their kids and grandkids about the most intimidating man in black to ever place himself behind a 700 HP car and scare the living daylights out of anyone who tried to deny him a win.
