divorce in us/mexico?

can a mexican citizen illegally in the us get a divorce while his wife is in mexico.

The actual answer is yes. But it depends on the state the person is in because each state has a minimum residency period before you can file. Illegal status will not prevent a divorce filing.

No, if he's illegal he can't. Plus his wife has to be here so she can be served the legal documents, right?
