The Blair Witch it a myth. The movie was made by a group of people with a camcorder based on that myth. That is the same thing as asking if Freddy Krogger is real or myth.

Definitely a myth. The film makers purposely blurred the line between fact and fiction to make the movie more scary.

Blair Witch 2 - Book of Shadows, even comes with a fake documentary where they talk to supposedly 'real' people about the Blair Witch legend.

The blair witch as in person or spirit is fake, made up for some dumb kids to get a kick out of this stuff. However the Bell witch was real, google The Bell family in Red River, Tennesee.

The Blair witch is alive and well and living in 10 Downing Street! If you're talking about the film, that was the most stupid film I've ever seen!!!

If you're interested in an allegedly genuine "witch" - which is actually a poltergeist - you might want to read about the Bell Witch of Tennessee. You've probably heard about the movie based on this supposedly true story.

Since reality itself is an illusion brought about by a lack of alchohol and myth is the opposite to reality, most of you lot are as pissed as coots and would not know the difference between a myth and a glove even if Cherie was wearing it

A myth created by some film students that did a low budget, over rated piece of garbage.

its a myth just like bigfoot, the lochness monsterel el chuprakabra, and aliens its all just a figure of our imagination, that we tried to believe so much people turned it into the real thing but its not. the only reason it seems real is because people made it up and wanted publicity

It is not even a myth. It is fiction, invented by some students doing a film project.

If you watch the closing credits you can read the disclaimer.
