I am also from Arkansas, and I can tell you this much. If you still owe back childsupport, which it seems like you do from your bad year, you will still be paying no matter what the child's age. My step father had to pay back child support and his children were almost forty. You owe up until they turn 18 only. No matter if they go to college or not in Arkansas. The garnishment will automatically end when everything you owe is paid off, If you owed 5000 dollars, then you will pay that amount even if your son is twenty when it is paid for.

Child support generally stops at 18, unless the child attends college.

I think all states stop at 18 except maybe if they go to college but you will to go to court to stop the garnishment I suggest you go soon because the wheels of justice turn slow in reverse

It can stop at 18 even if they go to college in Ark., but you'll pay the back support forever until it's paid off.
