Klose is Polish born and moved to Germany when he was 9 where he learned how to play football. Podolski also born in Poland but moved to Germany at an early age. Asamoah was born in Ghana. Odonkor's father is from Ghana but his mother is German. Borowski sounds Polish but definetely was born in Germany. It is todays Global World. The only two GOOD teams in the past two world cups that did not have any naturalized citizens were Turkey and Italy.

2. Lukas Podolski was born in Poland, grew up in Germany, after he came here (I'm German) when he was 2 years old and Miroslav Klose (his dad is half German, half Polish by the way), also born in Poland, came here when he was 8 years old. Klose got both citizenships though (German and Polish passport).

Tim Borowski is German, was born in the DDR though. Thats why his name might sound like an eastern European name.

100% Sure about the first two they are Both Polish Born
The last one has a very typical polish surname so he is also probably Polish.
