My car has one dull looking headlamp cover, the other one looks brand-new. I brought some blue headlamps but only one is really beaming at night. So im looking for something that can actually get the dullness out of the headlamp cover.

if you want a temporary fix until you can get somethin better......ordinary household automotive wax works pretty good.....apply a coat of wax....let it dry....and polish it off.....had an eclipse with that problem

I have a 91' Chevy with plastic headlight covers also. I've found that what works well for me is a very mild powder abrasive called "Bar Keepers Friend" . Use very little on a wet, very wet, sponge. Using small circular patterns, and very light pressure wash the outside of the lens. Oh, it works great on chrome too. Use a lot of water near the end washing to rinse off the residue. Good luck. You can buy this stuff at Wal-mart or K-Mart, or some grocery stores. It,s in a goldish can like ajax, or Comet cleanser.
Don't use it on aluminum.

I am the owner of Brushless Colors, an Automotive Cosmetics Company. We are a research and development company for automotive cosmetic products.

We recently have invented a process to restore fogged, hazed, yellowed headlights back to new condition for a fraction of the cost of new. This came after 2 hard years of in-house research.

There are other quick fixes out there on the market but they will wear off in a matter of days, weeks or after they get wet.

Our restoration system restores them back to original condition, OEM clarity, and we guarantee the results for as long as you own your car.

I am currently putting together the kits to sell on ebay, amazon, yahoo. I should have them up later this week. The holiday this weekend is slowing me down.

You can view the before and after images here:

You may contact me through my avatar on yahoo answers as well if you have any questions and to leave me an email if you would like me to contact you once I get the kit up.

I am planning on selling the kit for $79.95 plus real shipping, about $8. The kit will do 1 pair of headlights.

Not trying to sell my services here but this is the only answer out there besides spending at least double that for a new headlight.

One new headlight can range from $85 to $1100 depending on your make and model.
