I was sitting at home and I was wondering... Who is better? Sidney Crosby or Alexander Ovechkin? I think Ovechkin is better but I wanna see what other people think.

Ovechkin is more spectacular and a pure goal scorer; Crosby is more of a complete offensive player. Time will tell who's better. Both are wonderful to watch. Ovechkin's acrobatic goal was the best ever.

sid the kid because he had all the stress from the hype going into the nhl where ovechkin was left in the shadows to play. Besides ovechkin's coach was telling the players to give the puck to him where sid was trying to set up players. Sid also had a better plus minus than ovechkin. I find ovechkin hype now is like Fedrov had when he came into the league in 1990

Ovechkin is a pure goal scorer with multiple skills, but Crosby is a better player because he is so much smarter. He is better all-around and commands the respect and wonder of everyone around him. Unlimited possibilities if he can stop whining and stay out of the box

Well Ovechkin seems to be a more rounded player - but we'll see what this season brings - maybe Crosby will shine.

Ovechkin is considered a better player,because he bring's fans out of their seats with his speed and skill!
But once his knees go......he is done....a'la Bure.
So in the long run Crosby will be known as the better player!
Just my opinion though.

I think Alexander Ovechkin is better player, he is a great goalscorer, he has speed, skill and passion. Besides he doesn't avoid squashing near boards.

i think ovechkin is definatly a lot better. yet i dno't like his style, he plays dirty. i don't care about checking your opponents, it's part of the game, but there are limits. you shouldn't check someone so hard that he can't skate/ walk anymore and then just don't care. and he seems to enjoy really injuring people beyond playing a good game. he's a great player, better then most, a very talented young guy for sure, but his style is ugly
