umm...no.
totalitarian-Of, relating to, being, or imposing a form of government in which the political authority exercises absolute and centralized control over all aspects of life, the individual is subordinated to the state, and opposing political and cultural expression is suppressed: “A totalitarian regime crushes all autonomous institutions in its drive to seize the human soul” (Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.).
Political authority expressing absolute control: We have Congress, the Supreme Court, and 50 individual state governments. The One ruler would be George Bush, and he will be out of office in 2008, and we will have the chance to pick again. (Congress, we can pick again this year)
The system of Checks and Balances (a system of constitutional government which guards against absolute power by providing for separate executive, judicial, and legislative bodies who share powers and thereby check and balance one another) is designed to stop absolute power and maintain the absolute authority within the people.
Next: Centralized control over all aspects of life: this would mean that the Bush Administration was telling us when and where we could eat, what to do in our free time, and suppressing free speech. If you think that someone saying your demonstrations are wrong is supressing your free speech you are sadly mistaken, but go ahead and bring it to court.
The individual is subordinate to the state: This is only true because of taxes which the Bush Administration is trying to cut. We are subordinate to the government only because we choose to be. If we don't want to be, we don't have to (a government by the people and for the people) the government receives it's right to rule from the people here, so it can't be totalitarian.
Opposing political and cultural expression is repressed: There are countless demonstrations every day, and we still vote in our communities about laws and regulations. Democrats can still talk, and they can still run for office, and they will always be able to.
We have to remain faithful that our democracy can work. By saying we are totalitarian, you are undermining everything we have worked for over the past 230 years.

You, my friend, are an insult to those who have suffered from a totalitarian government. You have no idea what the phrase "totalitarian government" really means. I sincerely hope that you never have to live under a true totalitarian government, but in case you want to figure out what "totalitarianism" really means, I suggest that you follow these links:

This has been the Republicans plan for the last several decades, to slowly use fear to get us to consent to give up our hard won freedoms. Notice now that there is a feeling in the air of intolerance of dissenting viewpoints. This is very, very dangerous. Notice that warrants are no longer needed to intrude upon our privacy. The Supreme Court has ruled to not protect whistle blowers making it even easier for the government to act in a clandestine manner. Now I may be slow, but I think a government for, by and of the people means that the people have to know what the government is doing. Our country is being sold down the tubes to corporations and foreign interests. And due to our fear, we are becoming willing accomplices. God help us. I mean the real God and that right wing watered down version of God.

i'm going to purpose to describe this so as which you will understand: Communism relies upon on all and sundry pulling their weight. In united statesa., whilst somebody would not pull their weight, we provide them unfastened handouts with welfare. So in a Communistic Society, in case you have been chief, what could you do with people who did no longer pull their weight and threatened the whole shape of the society? that's the place Communism gets grotesque, if somebody would not pull their very own, they get killed. This makes Communism artwork. Weed out the "ineffective Weight". Communists have no appreciate for existence, in basic terms appreciate for the "Society" as an entire. they only see element interior the super "greater beneficial reliable" attitude, and sweep aside Humanity, individualism, and private Freedoms. in case you think of i'm incorrect or deceptive, please examine up on it. The greater you learn the greater you will comprehend that i'm one hundred% terrific suited.

Dumbya is sure giving a good imitation of a dictator by ignoring Congress, and basically choosing which laws apply to him and which don't.
Odd, we were about to impeach Nixon for far less.
