i have unused paint

oh yea it will -it smells the chemicals break down just like aspirin and food.. yep it gets watery and smells spreadablity goes out the dang door.. wanna test it open it after shaking.. if theres oil water on top and hard sedimetn theres a clue if it has odor another clue try painting it watch it dry another clue.. you can call lowes and ask to..

A can will slowly rust from the liquid inside it. An unopened can of paint will still be good in 2 years, if it doesn't freeze. An opened can will be good for a year, then toss it. (Check it first, if all rusty inside, or stinky, it's bad). If you have a good amount of paint left, but less than half a can, you could pour it into a smaller container that seals tightly. Air causes the paint to slowly dry up and to go bad.

It has a pretty long shelf life, if the can has been opened it will go bad sooner, I have seen latex paints get all stringy.
