the tattos don't do that anymore, those where done when tattoing wasn't that good, the techniques have gotten better so they don't do that

Ink quality has improved and how it looks in years to come depends on how well you treated your artwork. I have seen "relics" that look nearly as good as the day they were applied. Of course, improved art skills, improved techniques, improved tattoo environments and improved products have all helped with this concern. Mostly, those "blotches" happen when people regularly expose their ink to sun and do not protect it. Or they had sh*tty work done in the first place.
There are many reasons for those kind of pieces...age included.

The colors do fade, but you can have them redone.....yes, the work is better now, so they can repair them better. Has nothing to do with the age of the tattoo. Mine faded 2 yrs after getting them, had them redone twice already, still faded...Oh well, they were not for me but for someone I loved, who is no longer with me. I don't care if they look like s--t. No one sees them but me and even if they did, doesn't make me less attractive as what comes from me, comes from within..........and radiates out........

Tattoos usually need to be touched up, especially color tattoos. The black tattoos dont need to be touched up as often. But to keep it looking good, it should be every few years.

I hope it has improved cause i want one. But i think it's because their bodies have changed since they got the tattoos like sun burn , building and loosing muscle, aging etc..

My sister will get hers touched up from time to time. But I think if your skin stretches too much that won't matter. That's why she didn't get a tatoo on her belly.

Yup!! They ALL fade and spread with time. touch-ups or removal. Those are the best options so far.
