If you want prog rock that really rocks, you can't go wrong with "2112" by Rush.
If you want more fanciful fare, go with "Close to the Edge" by Yes.
If you want something a little harder but quirkier, get something by early Genesis, maybe "Foxtrot" or "Selling England by the Pound."
If you want an excuse to hurt people due to the weird noise you've just heard, get Emerson, Lake & Palmer's "Tarkus."

or Pink Floyd, also The Mars Volta r excellent, get their album "Deloused in the Comatorium", u might like Tool, they're kind of a progressive metal band.

I would check out any albums by Pink Floyd or u can check out King Crimsons' in the court of the crimson king and also chck out the mars volta.
