i think its pretty cowardly for any famous person to go to a DIFFERENT country and talk badly about the country who made them who they are, if they wanna talk bad in this country thats fine.. at least they are talking to people in the face... not cowardly and "behind their back" you could say... thats my problem.. i think they are idiots anyways.. but at least grow some balls and say it in ur own country

I would be in favor of confiscating their passports until such time as they learn to respect their country and generally, behave them selves. These silly bimbos have the audacity to use their celebrity to send a political message. It's bad enough when they do it domestically, but when they do it abroad, they are doing nothing more than emulating Jane Fonda. In the case of the Dixie Chicks, they had no celebrity until they started bad mouthing the president, then they became real popular amongst the libs. I guess, if you have no real talent, you must use desperate measures to get attention.

That is what is great about our great country and military. I am serving so people like the Dixie Chicks can pick that stupid name and talk bad about America. They don't talk bad when they are going to the bank to deposit the money that the Americans are giving them for their C/D's. They should have enough to move somewhere they like now.

What is the matter with all of you? That is what sets our country apart from the others and makes it worth dying for. The freedom of speech and the freedom to criticize our government. Some of you sound like communists. What are you afraid of? We have the right to descent and that is what makes America, America. That is what makes me proud and grateful to be here. That is what I put my life on the line for in the military. What happened to the saying, " I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."?

I dont know of any specific instance with musicians doing that but I do recall a movie staring Gary Busey and Billy zane called Valley of the Wolves that was released and filmed in Turkey. In the movie these two traitors played the roles of American military doctors that were kidnapping Iraqi children and harvesting their organs to sell to Jews in America. I think this is absolute treachery, and a slap in the face to the American people who made them what they are.

The dixie chicks can go straight to hell, I don't buy their music. Nor do I support any performer that bashes this country. Needless to say, I rarely go to the moves, and I'm very picky when it comes to buying music. They have their right to say as they wish, I have a right to not give them my money.

Meh, they have that right.
I have the right to not buy their albums.
I have the right to smash their albums.
I have the right to give a speech as to why they are terrible people.
I also have the right to not care and still buy their albums because if they make good music, that's what we are paying them for.
No one really cares about their political views
That said, in order to keep sales up, they may want to stop talking.

The DIXIE CHICKS were true to themselves, and they were expressing their opinions. How could that be badmouthing? Are you saying that every American should LOVE their Politicians? Each and everyone is entitled to an opinion and it was natural for those musicians to have done that. And at any rate, you cant please everybody. America isnt always PERFECT.

Celebrity opinions are like A**holes; they all have them and most of them stink. They are, however, entitled to their own opinions.
