Usually a nurse or medical assistant. It depends on what diploma you get- a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) takes a year after you are in a nursing program, Medical Assistant takes a year too. Some specialist Dr's have RN's that do that. RN's have to go to school for at least 2 years, depending on if they are a Associate RN or BSN

Either a Medical Assistant (MA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN). The amount of time it takes to go for either of these position's ranges from 12 months to 4 years depending on what credentials you want. The best thing to do is ask for information to be mailed to you from either a Technical School or a Community College.

That role can be portrayed by either the Medical Assistant (a vocational trade) or a licensed LPN or RN depending on the specialty of the practice.

M.A. -- 1 year or less
LPN / LVN -- 1 year
RN -- 2 years' for an Associate degree.

Hope this helps.

In the doctor's office that I go to, the nurse brings you to the room and checks your vital signs. She is a registered nurse (RN) and that is a four year degree in nursing.

Sometimes it can be a medical assitant, which requires less education, sometimes just training in the medical office
