as far as weather and people are concerned? i've been there twice but i met someone who is a high profile celebrity and he wants me to move there and i think it might be kinda quick! I'm concerened i'll go into culture shock!

Expect it to be substantially nicer. There are a few trees in California; it's less flat and there are hills and mountains. The climate is better and there's little risk of hurricane or tornado. The people seem to be more...pleasant and educated (no offense to Texas, of course; just my observation).

The weather here is awesome, and the people can be nice. But related to texas everything here is expensive and people live in a hurry. Hide some money away some where safe for an emergency plane ticket getaway.

It's faster paced. The people like to listen to you talk. It is more expensive. If you were born in Texas you will be ready to go back home within two years. Native Texans always go back home!

Not big if you live in a big city, Texas and California both are full of mexicans so it's no big change, don't hang aroung downtown LA at night though.

People in Southern California are not as friendly. They are all about material things and who you are friends with, oh and it's very fast paced. I lived in Nothern California to go to College (Ca St. University Chico) and people there are layed back and very nice.

lots more traffic, more wines to choose from, and depending where in Cali, lots more bums and stray animals. In the summer it can get up to 119 in the south. Lots of people are always grumpy, and there are tons of homosexuals, yes you will be in shock.

Do you care if it turns out the "celebrity" justs wants you for your body? If I were you, I'd just take a few vacations there before I moved there for good.

don't worry, hon, there are white people here too. if you feel lost once you are here, just go up to any one of them for advise; they really like to talk to their own kind, though they hail from texas or not.
please make sure you have a valid visa and passport before entering our glorious land.

right now it warm (summer time) but it about as hot all around right just go to the beach or mountains.in general the people have a variety depend what type your looking for?
