Can anyone tell me some good websites dealing with the BDSM lifestyle? Me and my bf have been tinkering with it for a while and would like to advance our knowledge and try more...Any Suggestions?

www.collarme.com has personals and a pretty real message board. For the most part, pretty down to earth.

www.literotica.com has a BDSM specific message board, too. There's a little more posturing over there and it's a bit harder core.

http://www.xeromag.com/fvbdsm.html is a great website. Every site has info about safety and precaution, as does this one, but it also answers questions and gets into the "how-to" with scenarios and such. Probably more what you're looking for. Try the fourth link down, titled scenarios and exploration.

http://www.sexuality.org/l/bdsm/ has some articles. They're a little too scattered to be comprehensive, but some of them are cool.

Someone also mentioned Castlerealm, which is good.

For books, I'd suggest Jay Wiseman's SM 101. Screw the Roses, Send me the Thorns is also good. There's sort of a cannon of BDSM reading material, but I'd start there.

Hope your search goes well :).

Online learning is great, but if you are comfortable with it, find a local group (do an internet search) and attend a munch. It is an informal meeting of a group to socialize. Usually, everyone there is great about giving information to newcomers and letting you get a feel for what BDSM is all about. It's great for getting perspectives of many...remember that each "lifestyle" is a bit different, and it is all about making it work for you.

Online resources and books are good and can get you into the basics. However, the best thing to do is to be active in a local munch group. It can be intimidating at first, but it will allow you to learn things that the Net doesn't provide and unlearn the silliness that sometimes shows up.
