The memory card is for the original Playstation and it is made by Madcatz. The PS2 slim is brand new.

Older memory cards dont work on the slimline, you just need to get a new memory card. If the memory card is from the Original playstation and not the psone console, then it definately wont work. But if its from the psone console, then it should work. try getting a new memory card and see if it works before you start fiddling with the internal stuff. Hope it works out :)
