I have noticed that foreign soldiers killed in action are granted citizenship postumeously and I feel it should happen as soon as they take the oathe to defend this country, not after being killed in combat.

I agree that a foreign soldier should be given a citizenship, but I disagree with when it should be done. If they are given a citizenship prior to military combat I think you would have terrorist signing up tomorrow in our military and then fighting for the other side.

I do realize that waiting until after you serve may be too late for some, if they are killed in combat but, I think there has to be a way to do it other than granting it to them for signing up.

I agree. If they are having immigration issues and these soldiers come over to help the U.S. They should be Naturalized citizens.

No one can register in the US military who is not a citizen of this country.

What are your sources?

Mine...I'm an army brat, I had one son in the Marines, a daughter in the Army, a second son in the Air Force, and a grandson who is now a staff sgt. in the Air Force.
