Okay, I know I'm totally opening this up for Sox bashing so try to be nice. I'm just curious.

Because they have this romanticized notion that the Scrubs are better and more worthy of support. The Scrubs have adopted this "America's Lovable Losers" tag and it seems impossible to dislike them, right? They have great attendance year after year despite a plethora of lousy teams. And they draw more white-collar fans, so on that level, they just seem "better" to some people.

HOWEVER, we all know where the WORLD CHAMPIONS play, and *knowledgable* baseball fans know which team is better: The Chicago White Sox. The White Sox don't play in a beer garden, so any fans going to the park (in that neighborhood) are only going because they want to see a winner. If the team's not winning, they're not going.

I think the White Sox have a strong chance of repeating as champions, and after yesterday's classless trash-throwing debacle, I hope *even more* that they do it. That will stick it to Scrubs fans and perhaps help some of them wise up.

not everyone prefers the Cubs, I do, but that is because I am a true fan, I do not hate the sox, I do believe that their fans have an attitude problem, where were they prior to 2005, even afterwards, they can not sell out games. I was glad to see the Sox win the Series last year because they are from Chicago, however I am not a fan. I think their fans have bad attitudes and give the sox a bad name, I mean what kind of fan goes on the field and attacks an umpire. Wrigleyville is a nice safeplace to walk after the games, Cub fans are loyal and so are the players I do not care if they ever win the WS again, I will always be true to my Cubs, where will the sox fans be when they start losing? same place they were in 2004 bashing and turning their backs on their team.

The White Sox play good baseball. They play as a team and Ozzie expects everyone to be accountable for their practices and actions. I don't know why people like the Cubs better than the Sox. There really is no reason to.

Thats becuz every likes to feel sympathetic for the eternal losers.
They even have a soft name: cubbies.
"would you like some cubbies swweety?"

see that? sounds like a breakfast cereal. which makes sense since the white sox eats cubbies for breakfast anyways.

The only reason there are so many more cubs fans is becuz the love to go to historic wrigley field, get drunk off their a**es, leave the stadium and go to the surrounding neighborhood filled with bars and then get drunk off their a**'s a**es.
They should call wrigley field by its real name: The Boozertorium.
Most of the fans can't even tell you who plays the cubs first base, and thats a fact. they are the true fake fans. They don't watch games. they drink.

p.s.
and I'll be happy to take any fair-weather fan that wants to sober up and come to the south side to watch real baseball instead of drunken blue blurs which is all most cubs fans remember from a game anyways.(that and the fact that they lost.)
There's always room on the winning side!

The Cubs fans don't whine about their abscence from the World Series because they enjoy watching the games, unlike the Red Sox fans prior to 2004.

Well, when the Sox won the WS everyone jumped on the fairweather bandwagon. But now, with AJ P.'s bad additude and Ozzie Guillen's hard to understand accent...the Cubs seem pretty cool becuz they just enjoy playing baseball and dont play dirty. Cubs are not overcompetitive but loyal and diehard.

The Cubs are the team for the north side of chicago, where there are more people. Also, the Cubs are owned by the local newspaper, which makes the reporters write pro-cubs articles to sell more seats.

probably because nobody actually lives in those cities if you think about it so therefore when people are choosing sides between them, they would prefer holding a baby cub over dirty socks :)

personally i know red sox are the best
