The 10 yr old is a big Batman fan! I have never seen any of the Batman movies, I assumed they would be to violent for them!

The movie is violent, it is the best of the Batman Films but is more adult oriented, I would suggest waiting till the are 12 or 13.
Just my suggestion.

I might be a bigger fan than your son, because I HAVE all the Batman movies. There is some violence, but you never see anything really gruesome. The first four movies are a little more superficial than Batman Begins. It can be a little freaky at times, but it's a VERY good movie. If your kids are not ones to have bad dreams after seeing something a little spooky, then go ahead and let them watch it. But if you REALLY are unsure, you could watch it yourself first. You can also try www.kids-in-mind.com to see how parents rate movies for their kids. The movie's rated PG-13, and they give it a 6 out of 10 for violence and gore, a 3 out of 10 for profanity, and a 2 out of 10 for sex and nudity (although I don't recall seeing any of it in the film).

Batman Begins is a great movie, but I'm not sure if your kids should see them. Maybe the 10 year old might be ready, but then I think the 9 year old would be angry at his brother seeing it but not him. You should wait another year, meanwhile there are some great animated Batman and Batman Beyond movies they can see.

ten years ago id have said yes its too violent but then with todays kids i am not so sure, i have an 11 and 7 year old daughter and they saw the mummy returns recently, didnt scare them, i think the old batman movies would be ok.....but the newest one is a bit darker, might scare your youngest.

it's really great... i'm a batman fan too... it's not really violent it just has weird features... i think that you should watch it first and the you decide if it's ok for them to watch it... and if think it's ok but not really them you can watch it with them

actually, it would be a great movie, it is rated pg13, I'm assuming you are over 13, so it would be a great movie if you watch it with them
