Perhaps you should try to educate her about this form of belief. Tell her it's not black magic, satan worship or devil worship, and it doesn't necessarily interfere with Christian belief systems either. You can tell her that it's an old form of nature-worship, that people who study Wicca and Witchcraft are not all crazy nut-cases and that it's perfectly fine to be spiritual in your own way which makes you feel good.

None of which will probably work.

Or you can study in private and practice in private, rather than trying to flaunt it. Many of us do that, rather than explain, or try to justify our beliefs to those who are stubbornly insistent we are all going to hell. I find it's a lot easier that way, even as an adult. It's no one's business what your religion is, anyway.

If you're stepmother doesn't want to be educated about wiccan beliefs, then back off and let her believe what she wants while you believe what you want. Wicca is about living together with the world, not apart from it.

It's important that when you live with your parents or step parents that you follow their rules. When it comes to your own personal decisions on how you feel about the world, There comes a time when you must think for yourself.

If you are more comfortable, maybe you should live with your mom. Otherwise, you might have a difficult time with your father and stepmother. If that's impossible, I would take a theological approach to Wicca. Many Wiccans don't practice magick. Consider this as an alternative.

Since your step mom knows and does not approve, I would conceal my reading materials on the subject. You can easily change book covers or make notes into a secret notebook to keep important information safe.

The important thing is to keep the peace in the family. They can't tell you to be Christian but they can try.

Personally I'm of the opinion that your choice to study Wicca isn't your problem, from what I hear in your words, it's who you have chosen to learn from that is causing your concern. If you don't experience the benefit Wicca will make in your life then your being used for someone else's benefit. Might want to listen to your inner thoughts, there telling you the truth. Take Care If you need someone to share your thoughts with you can always email: Solopages@yahoo.com you'll find a kind ear there.

when you say in over your head do you mean you believe you've gone in too deep to get out? Do you want to get out? You need to look in yourself and see if this is the faith for you. What your step mother feels shouldn't matter. She will love you no matter your choice as long as you are well studied and understand what goes into your new found faith.

Did you join a coven? This is not something I recommend at all, especially when you are young and new to the faith. You become bound to the coven and it is bad especially when you are not even sure if this is the religion for you. Read books dear, join communities, research, just don't make any crazy jumps. You have your whole life to live.

Do like real Wiccans did in the Old Times and practice in secrecy.

Or put a spell on them (=P)

I would love it if my stepmother would just ask me why I find Wicca so exciting. Maybe she would get interested too and you would be a little clearer what it's all about.

Honestly, I don't let my parents effect my religion. They're both atheist, but I'm fully a Christian. Just go for what you believe in.

Well the only way to convince her is to show her. Take a piece of clear tape, pull out a louse and stick it to said tape and show her.
