This is a video of an American Apache helicopter using a nose-mounted 30mm automatic Boeing M230 Chain Gun. The first Al-Qaeda man to fall is literally turned into ground beef.

How am I to know until after I'm corrected? Thanks for the education, but your sarcasm probably cost you 10 points. Your answer was looking pretty good until then.

Yes, especially an enemy that would hack off the head of your child with a dull knife without any remorse what so ever.

Enemy combatants can be eliminated in almost any way it can be done. From far away, at night, and in an armored helicopter is both legally ok and a d***ed good way to keep our kids out of harm's way.

If the first guy is "literally" turned into ground beef, then he must have been a cow. Don't say "literally" if you don't know what it means.

All's fair in love and war...the one with the best weapons wins. Got a problem with ground beef? So did we on 9-11-01...there were many people whose bodies were never identified or found for their families to be able to bury...if you are having difficulty over our fairness with killing Al Qaeda, something is wrong with you...those people are abominations. I don't hear you saying a word about the fairness of videotaped be-headings of non-combatants. Get the hell outta here. You don't deserve to be here.

Yes it is fair to shoot the enemy by using a helicopter at night because we must protect our country and our rights. By doing what you ask we can put it in the enemy's head that we won't go down easy and give them the fight of their lives. With time our enemy may get tired of the fight and give it up such as communist Russia did with us in the late 80's and the Nazi East Germans did as well tearing down the Berlin Wall.

Sometimes you need to shoot the enemy at night. This can be for many reasons.
1. They only move around at night and if you want them dead, that is the only time to do it, unless u kill them in their sleep during the daylight.
2. Sometimes its for the safety for the helicopter crew. During the daylight they can be seen and fired apon, then we have mroe dead american and less dead terrorist.

Atleast this is how i feel. I might be wrong but these are the answers that I see/

I've seen that video and all three of them pretty much get turned into road pizza.

And, yes it is well within the rules of engagement to do just what they did. If you watch it again you'll notice that there were several voices calling for them to engage and the air crew took their time and were deliberate in their decision to open fire.

They were the enemy, they were moving ordinance, ergo: they are legitimate targets.

The enemy? At night? Do you mean when they are out planting roadside IED's to remote detonate?

In this case, did you see enough of the clip to see the figures burying weapons in the field? These were not non-combatants.

So to answer your question - is it fair? Probably not. Is it acceptable? Most definitely!

Doesn't matter when you shoot them. The enemy is the enemy and in war, you get paid to kill the enemy! I guess you are trying to make a liberal statement that the military is brutal? I hope they are so more enemies will not want to come here and tangle with our military. That is how peace is maintained.

If you are going to kill someone Fairness does not come into it. This is not a wild west movie fastest draw etc. This is what war is about you kill him before he kills you or your mates. If you have the bigger better weapon you use it. Can you see the pilot leaning out of the cockpit and using his pistol Bang Bang your dead ?????

Yes.
What is not fair is that these insurgents and terrorists always hide among innocent people, like women and children.
