Fabien Barthez would be first: 84 Caps, 98 Yahsin and WC Champ, 539 Club appearances, won Euro 2000.

Oliver Kahn is second: 85 Caps, 2002 Golden Ball and Yashin award, 499 Bundesliga appearances, played poorly in Euro 2000 and 2004, replaced as #1 keeper for WC06.

Gianluigi Buffon is a distant third: 61 Caps, 320 Club appearances, no WC awards, and there is that whole match fixing thing. . . .

Kahn is obviously overtaken by Lehmann, who doesn't seem all that good so far. Buffon and Barthez can tie this one.

i think barthez is the best of the three. i chose him because of his composure when the going gets tough . u can trust him to rise up to the occasion when the stakes arre high. he does not do too well when there is nothing much at stake but he is the best keeper u can find when the stakes are high . rtemember france '98 . he was able to take all that brazil brought on with cheeky ease

Right now absolutely BUFFON. Kahn was great in the last world cup. I also liked Rustu from Turkey in the last world cup. I think he was great.

I haven't seen Khan play, but between the other two, I'd say Buffon. But I think the other German keeper who plated in the Argentina match was great. Jens Lehmann was his name.

For one Kahn doesn't play, duh. Probably Barthez, if they can beat Spain and sh*tty Brazil I think he is better than Buffon.
