JK has stated on her website and in various interviews that aside from a possible Encyclopedia of magic, there are NO plans to continue Harry Potter's world after the seventh and final book. In fact, she has said that if she thinks that another author will try to pick up where she left off, she will kill Harry to end any and all possiblities of a new series. This completely wrecks alot of fans who see much promise in a prequel series about Lily and James, Harry's parents. However, on the upside, JK also said, never say never. So who knows maybe her fans can talk her into something.

Jo has said that there will be no further series books after the 7th, and I believe her. She has, however, also said that she would consider releasing all of the things she had written intending to include them in the series and then found they didn't fit. Sort of a Harry Potter: The Deleted Scenes. I hope she does!

she will continue to write but no more of the Harry Potter series. She had said she planned on 7 and that was it. The last chapter of the 7th book was written before the 1st chapter of the Socerer's Stone

Nope. 7th is the final book. No sequels. Hopefully she wraps it all up nice and good. I unfortunately think the only way to end the book right would be to kill Harry off along with Voldemort. Harry is too adventure-seeking to let him stay alive because he would demand more books written about him.
