If you have not yet seen a doctor then do so it might just be a yeast infection. Best to be on the safe side. You might know each other well but are you using a condom? especially in this day and age when STD and AIDS is on the rise be selfish and think of yourself cause at the end of the day if it is a STD who gave you it??
If you don't want to go to your GP ask the pharmacist they should be able to give some advise.

You could have an infection, happens a lot. Doesn't mean it is an STD. Go to your Doctor, they can tell you exactly what it is, and give you the medication to cure it.
If it is an STD, then either you or your partner doesn't know the other very well.

If you have a partner, then he almost certainly has it as well. He may show no symptoms, but he needs treatment as well otherwise you will keep infecting each other. Go to a clinic together, and they will prescribe suitable treatment.

Yeast infection? I heard it's usually caused with unprotected sex (no condom) and if either of you have eaten a lot of sugar recently. You need to get rid of it soon and not let it linger. It could get worse.

go to the chemist and ask for canasten pill, it is one tablet, u take it by mouth, it will clear up straight away. Its really common babe, can be caused by anything from nylon knickers to to antibiotics. doesn't mean your dirty or your partner has been cheating. xx
