immaturity.... i always try to help people in need with whatever information i can give them, but i believe the only reason i do this is because i realize that i might need a helping hand in the future, and the younger audience does not grasp this concept yet...

the people that answer the questions in a stupid or sarcastic manner, i expect are either children trying to act like adults, escaped inpatients from a mental institute or just so stupid and ignorant that they cant help themselves but to write a total loads of bollox because it makes them feel clever! Half of them cant spell what they have written properly (yes, i know i spelt bollox wrong!!) and the crap they have written is usually nothing to do with the question that has been asked!!
I put it down to ignorance!
Sometimes, if someone has put a question on here, that is so over the top and fake-You have to answer it, and sarcastically!! Or when people say something really stupid like letting murderer's off etc.....everyone needs to get a bit narky on them ones! I think people put questions on that they know will cause a stir, a reaction! Personally, theres nothing more annoying than going to your mailbox and having loads & loads of email about the question you have asked!! (i really should remember to untick the box about getting each email!!)
Also, people want 2 points!!

For myself I believe all answers are good. Look deeper into the responses you get and you may find insights that transcend the single individual response to a collage of thoughts. When viewed in this way the overall content can be divided and measured, regrouped; discounted if need be; but you now have a cross section of what these folk think and even should they respond poorly they have still been generous for this purpose. Perhaps my thoughts to your question could best be put in this way. It isn't what you get, it is what you do with it. Thank you for asking this question.

I've never quoted Bill Clinton before, but Ah feel your pain!
Shrug. I don't understand why some people come on here at all with the answers they give. But I think if you want useful answers, you have to ask very specific and pointed questions. And even then they don't get it half the time.
If you're sensitive about getting mocked or insulted, you picked the wrong web site.

Personally I answer the questions when I want to help someone, but sometimes, some questions make me laugh and I answer them just for fun, because sometimes you get a question of having a desperate life, asking for help, you click on the answer tab and after you submit your answer when you go back on the main page, you will see the additional details saying "my friend broke my pasword and entered in the web page using my account"... this is to me stupid and that's why I hate when somebody plays around with people's feelings ( in this case not with the one who asked but with the ones who answered) lol!!!!

Because they're stupid to ask a sensitive question to a bunch of strangers and should be punished!
Seriously, what do you expect from a public forum? If people get wound up by sarcastic answers then they probably should ask a question in the first place, and stick to researching another way or talking to their friends.

Who took the Mick? Damn!!! I've been looking for the Mick for a week now. I searched the garage, the attic, under the bed. I can't believe someone else has had the Mick this whole time. How can I get the Mick back??? Please help.

That's the price of posing your question in a public forum such as this. You can't screen the types of people who will answer your question so you should be prepared to get a variety of answers, including unhelpful ones.

i think its probably due to the fact that the question asked is either of some significance to the person or is a sensitive subject that doesn't want to be dealt with and by answering jokingly the person is trying to convince themself that the question is not a serious issue to them or it doesn t affect them. Then again you can just have people who tend to be plain jokers all the time

Not everyone did! People are just saying what they think, or having a laugh. Don't forget, they get points for answering no matter what they put! Please don't take it personally. We (Well I) are sitting here on our computers all day long, playing around with the internet, when we should probably, I don't know, get a job or something. Does our opinion really matter?

I didn't know it was that common, actually. Humour and wit can be fun. Most of us here probably want to look clever and some of us seem to get a little kick out of putting people down. It's probably best to ignore such waggish responses.
