Normally every employer wish to employ smart and active persons. However, fat lazy and slow persons may get employment for back office or desk jobs if they come for cheap compensation.

fat and thin both are knowen to do exceptionally good work. next would be the active person they want to get things done. and finally the last. this varies. some fast people miss so many things that you spend more time backstepping to get job done( I worked with someone like this) while others are speedy and get all done ( i worked with someone like this at same place as bad fast person). slow people can be some great workers and unable to go fast and there are great jobs these people (yet not all slow workers are worth the trouble either). this is a person by person situation

Yes, they can. But you better be able to prove they were not capable of doing them if you don't hire them.

UPS has one of the best systems for this I have ever seen. You have certain parameters you have to meet, or you get fired. So many boxes removed from the truck an hour. So many you have to load, with less than 3 going to the wrong destination a night.

You don't meet those specifications, you are gone. Fat, thin, fast, slow, whatever. You signed up to do the job, if you can't do it, have a nice life.

I was impressed with that company when I worked for it.

Although a heavy person may have more health risk they can work at a cooler temperature. Think of all the money you can save on heating cost and naturally the government will take care of their health issues so hire them. Normally the heavier person is also more pleasant to work with and does not waste as much time as a sexy person on appearance issues.

you can make one basic test depending on the job. if you are hiring for office administration you can test computer and english skills. if you are hiring for warehouse you can check eye and hand coordination skills, speed etc. if you are looking for somebody on managerial position then you have to check previous work related references.

each person can work differently in different job settings so you can't say that fat and lazy and slow guys cant work as efficiently as thin active and fast.

It would be discriminating to put a person to the test, but generally, people who are overweight are slower and lazier.
I'm not being mean, it's just what I have observed in my twenty-some-odd years in the work force.
