Ive read several times in the papers about a foriegn chap who plays for Serbia & Montenegro, who is friends with Andy Murray. The talk is around him getting British Citizenship and being sponsored by the LTA to play for GB. Do you think this is right? And has this happened before with the other countries?

you mean Novak Djokovic??

we heard that rumour too, but so far it is only a rumour. Djokovic denied that he will play for GB a few days ago in an interview for our national TV (Serbian).

maybe he will change his mind in a few years since Serbia is not a very good place for professional tennis (not enough, competition, training camps, visa problems, etc).

but it happened before. Do you remember Monica Seles? she became an Us citizen but at first she played for Yugoslavia.

I guess i she wants to come and play for GB, who can stop him. If where he came from isn't good he has a wright to change. I don't think that it will make a difference if he comes or not. Who is this player? If you have heard it, I haven't. I'm sure that this has happened for other countries, Maria Sherapova is (RUS) but she lives in the U.S.A.
