How do I get started in the business of doing commercials and acting and getting agents or whatever and all of those things? Any input would surely help me. If you know of any websites or phone numbers can you please include them? Thank-You

read your local paper and search the web here are some key words to search open calls, audition, casting calls, talent search, talent agents, be careful not to get fooled a lot of company's are not agents they are schools and require money they only train you not get you jobs it is up to you to find agents agents don't need money they make money for you and i believe that there are company's who help you find agents but if you do find someone ask alot of questions of what is their job to help you and are they charging you for their services because there are alot of false people in that industry.

It would help to know the city you're in (not to sound weird! like I want to know what city you're in girlie!) my point is face it you'll only be really successful in a few cities. California cities, New York, Chicago. Begin by taking drama classes or debate classes anything that will give you confidence being in front of people and training you to speak with proper diction. Then you'll need to find a photographer and create a portfolio, then take your portfolio around to different agents. DON'T go to a modeling school unless you're unable to put mascara on your lashes. They will tell you they will create a new you and get you all these jobs... it doesn't happen...

I would research it online and maybe even contact radio stations or local buisnesses that you know have done commericals. Classes, I would wait an either email or talk to whomever you contact about where to get started and they will probably have a good suggestion. Also you could contact your nearest college or community college in their drama department or just with an advisor and they will be able to give you some information.

first and foremost...you need to get an agent! They will get you a picture taken and will get you all of the auditions to be in commercials, movies etc. good luck!
