Exactly Brazil is overrated and after watching their first game people should have known that they won't win, anyone who knows little about football wanted to sound good by picking Brazil to win but their plan backfired. I hated Brazil from the start because of all the people picking them to win(band wagon) because they couldn't think for themselves.
And everyone says now, "I know they were overrated" but they are ex-Brazil fans.

Quite afronting. I think Brazil are the best team. However, the problem is the lethargy of the players after a long season. All the Brazilian players had a very long season in their respective leagues. France had a relatively fresh squad. The problem was the players were too tired. Before playing France, Brazil topped their group with three wins. France took it easy in the group stages, they drew South Korea and Switzerland and beat Togo. You can imagine the toll it took. But quite to the contrary, or au vu contraire in French, The game is everything and you have to play the game or it will play you. So the answer is that maybe Brazil should have taken it a little easier in the group stages. Quite Afronting that France did just that. But then as they would say in France, Cest La Vie.

Yes this Brazilian team was overrated...contrary to the last one in 2002 which was underrated but put in wonderfully efficient performances.
I think the fact that Perreira said this team was as good as 1970 Brazil team says it all !!!!!

They are not necessarily overrated but certainly did not show up yesterday. I hope Portugal sends France packing. Although I hate to do it in their own country hopefully my boys will send the Germans to the stands. And Italy will prevail for the 4th time. Yes, Frenchies mark it down when you are chasing a second star we are looking at quadripling your achievement.

I knew they weren't going to win, my pre-tourney picks were Italy or Germany. I give the edge to Italy based on their last match. There's no denying Brazil had the talent to win, so if they were being rated based on their talent I don't think you can say they were overrated. It's their lack of motivation that killed them.

Well, i said in start that Brasil will not win the cup. Their problem is not lack of quality. They are all great players. But if you want to win it is important to have players commited to team. Greece won Euro 2004, but they have great team spirit, despite small number of wellknown players. Brazilians played without inspiration and desire to prove the rest of the world their quality. They tought that fact they are brasil is enough to make other teams to respect them and allow them to play just is need it for. But France wasn't impresed.

now all of the sudden France is invincible
both teams where on the same level they both had legitimate chance to win it
it was a great game between great teams
give both team credit

Their good players, they just didn't perform at all. They had mediocre teams to play against and finally got a strong team which controlled and outwitted them. Goes to show that many good players on a squad won't always get you on top.
