Red Feather, a Hohe (Assiniboine), was Killed according to White Bull. Above the mouth of Red Water, a party of Sioux met a mounted Assiniboine. The man dismounted to fight them with his gun. He chased the fleeing Sioux, but tripped and accidentally discharged his firearm. The Sioux were then able to count coups on the man, stabbing him repeatedly. After Red Feather pulled one of his attackers from his horse, he was shot and killed. This engagement may have been part of a larger campaign. In Vestal's Hunkpapa count, the year is called "Hohe wichemna-numpa wicaktepi," meaning 20 Assiniboine killed. This was done on the Heart River during the winter by Hunkpapa and Blackfoot Sioux..(Vestal 1934a 167)

There is also a glyph on the corresponding page which might behoove you to meditate upon to determine if this has any intrinsic correlation to your experience. Things like this are always worth the pursuing, for even the wind seeks to share its secrets but few possess the ears to hear them.

I too believe Red Feather is your "Guardian", the best way to find out is seek the answer yourself ask Red Feather to lead you to a genuine psychic, he will be delighted, go to 2/3 or even a Spiritualist Church, don't be disappointed if you don't get acknowledged at the Church the first times, most of them have Private sittings and don't give information to them, Red Feather will get in touch, you obviously have Spiritual work to do with the help of Red Feather, I wish you Gods Speed and Love, you will find the proof you need, don't stop until you feel absolutely certain with-in, believe me Red Feather would not have it any other way, but please, do your own seeking and ye shall find.

I am inclined to take Ms Teaks answer, but the day will come when you can ask Red Feather yourself.

Peace and Love be with you always.

My cousin died about 40 years ago. When I learned of his death, I saw a vision of the face of a very serious looking Indian. (I had been previously told by a psychic that I had an Indian spirit guide named Red Feather. I am sure the Indian man which I saw in my vision was Red Feather. ) I could clearly see every feature of his face. It was a deep copper color and was lined with deep wrinkles. His eyes had a very serious expression. I first saw him as I lay in bed with my eyes closed. I was so startled, I opened my eyes to get rid of this vision of my unexpected visitor, but when I closed my eyes, he appeared again as tho he had never been gone. My cousin was only 30 years old when he died. His death was a great tragedy in my family. I believe that Red Feather shared in this loss to my family. This experience has made my faith in Red Feather as my spirit guide very strong. I know he is with me at all times and ready to help me when I need him.

According to Tonto, (my Indian spirit guide) you do in fact have,(like me) an Indian spirit guide. It seems he was of Cherokee and Italian descent. His mother was a Cherokee princess before she was forced to leave her tribe and move to Arizona. This was some time in the mid to late 1950s. Apparently her mother and father disowned her for marring out-side the Cherokee tribe.
His father drove a vegetable delivery truck and was a wanna be wise guy.
Your Indian guide was born in Page Arizona soon after the move. His given name was Ruben.
Times were tough there was no work in Page for a vegetable delivery driver. And Rubens mother was forced to take work in the towns bar as a stripper. She worked under the name of Foxy Beaver.
Rubens father soon left his mother and moved to Las Vegas in order to seek his fortune as a crooked Black Jack dealer.
Anyway to make a long story short, Foxy Beaver abandoned Ruben in 1972 and moved to California with a country singer that played for a couple of nights at the Page Best Western Hotels lounge.
Ruben, having no place to live, was soon adopted by the local Navahos and given (now get this) the name of Turkey Feather.
You were close with Red Feather, perhaps it was the R from Ruben that threw you off.
Anyway Turkey Feather was found, dead, behind the Page Arizona 7 / 11 store in the cold winter of 1982. He had been drinking with his adoptive uncle behind the store. When they were both badly beat'n by some local white boys, whom made off with $1.67 and a small bag of Sage that they had mistaken for marijuana.
So there you have the true story of Turkey Feather, your Indian Spirit Guide.

if u give me a while i can ask my mom, she loves native americans and reads a lot of historical books on them. add me to your messenger list or e-mail me or something.doesn't the government have a history website or something? it would be worth a try but i doubt they took the time to find an indian's name before they killed him. that's so sad isn't it?
