I want to protect her bassinet for our next child but it doesn't fit anywhere in our apartment except the garage. We live in Florida and it get real humid here and the bassinet is real wood. Should I cover it or not?

NO BAGS! a box of baking soda left in the bassinet too to absorb moisture an every 6 months remove that box as odors in garage is not good. perhaps an attic would be best.. basements no..if its real humid then wrap it in cheesecloth and netting so it stays airy but the humidity will get thru it no matter what making wood expand and contract. a dehumidifier in the garage is good.to bad you can't keep it in apt an use it as a towel holder for all your towels& linens rolled up pretty.surely you can use that for storage for blankets or things like a dresser. Be creative as humidity will get thru it. bags retain moisture there is acid free bags at the dry cleaners but it will hold moisture.

If you decide to cover it and keep it in the garage, do not use plastic. I really liked the idea of rethinking its use decoratively in the apartment better than storing it in the garage. Humidity and wood do not make for good bed partners (sorry about the pun). If you can get heavy canvass to cover it with that is better than plastic, if not sheet will do. Go to the home improvement store and look for a product called DampRid moisture absorber. It comes in a plastic tub that you need to put in or under the bassinet to absorb the moisture in the air. Wood swells with humidity and that will help somewhat.

You can find large plastic bags to put it in. You may have to ask around to fine one big enough. Maybe at a furnature store.
