Well the car is worth that money if it's in good condition, but even if you know the car was taken care of I would inspect it really good. Personally I would not pay more then 800 tops maybe even 700 becuase I bought a 95 dodge interpred for 600 with 105,000 miles on it. If I was you I would look online for cars. And most of the time you will find cars for that same money a couple years younger with less mileage.

Pontiacs are great cars. Definitely snag it. I am driving an 04 Pontiac grand Prix now. I have also owned a 90 and an 88. I wouldn't trade mine for anything.

I had a 95 grand prix and had nothing but trouble lots of problems with fuel injectors and such. I have two friends one had a 91 and one a 90 and both had the same fuel problems along with engine issues I would be very cautious if you buy it and make sure you can budget in repairs cause more than likely you will need them.

Pontiac's are great cars. It depends on how the last person took care of it. How does it sound? What kind of miles were put on it? Were they city or highway? Did you lift up the carpet to expose the floor? How much rust does it have? Take all this then you will know if its good. I bought a 2006 Pontiac G6 cause I know it will last.

This car came with probably the most reliable engine ever, the GM 3.8 liter. They are the same engine that came in everyone's grandma's buick, and are extremely reilable and get great milage. If you know the people who owned it and know they kept good care of it, you shouldn't worry too much. The interior and body molding are the biggest problems on those things, so if they're in good shape, you're golden. Buy it.

Used cars are always a gamble; do you feel lucky? The only good thing is that $1,000 is not a lot of money to lose on a gamble. I would play the odds based on the information you have given concerning the prior owner and current condition of the car.

never buy a used grand prix or grand am .... sounds like a good deal but you will have many repair issues. check consumer reports. i was going to buy one at one point and checked. i was very dissapointed. also have known friends who owned and had problems with both. that would be an excellent deal though if it were any other car.

If you r looking for dependability this car is probably not a good idea at this mileage.
Try finding a cheap SOHC or DOHC engine car preferably import well maintained car or diesel at best especially if high mileage.

Yes...buy it. There's no downside. $1000 for a 90's model car is great. If the engine blows you can part it out and probably make a proffit...no kidding.
