I have a very hairy back and chest. My wife is fine with this but as we live on the beach...I get lots of looks from other beach goers.
Should I be offended..should I have the hair on my back removed?? What do other men think that have my same problem. I am only 24 and don't want a lifetime of lookers

Get waxed. Don't blame people for staring. I would, it's uncommon. I'm a massage therapist, and if you want a good massage, you should have the hair removed from your back.

I understand. My husband is exceptionally hairy on the back and chest. His tummy is bald in a big spot. We don't do pools or beaches much, but when we do, he is not self-conscious about it.
You are young compared to my husband, and they may be looking you over for other reasons beside your hair. If you can figure out why you are upset at their looking at you then maybe you can be less self conscious about it.
As I said - I understand. In college I was a "liberated female". When I went to the beach with my noticeably hairy legs bare, I not only got looked at, but they made comments within my hearing range. That, I could not handle, and have kept my hairy legs (I only shave very rarely and my husband, too, is fine with this) covered.

I would hope you can join your wife in being OK with the hand you were dealt? I have the same situation, never bothered me or my wife and as far as other people are concerned I don't give a rat's *** what they think of my hairy torso.

If you get it removed it will grow back thicker. You shouldn't be offended. People are stupid. Look at it like this, if you do remove the hair on your back then they'll find something else to stare at you. Be happy with who you are, obviously the people in your life love you for you and that's all that matters.

well, here's the thing. a) i'm not a man (but i hope my opinion matters for something) b) i'm a 27 year old woman and c) here's my answer: if your wife and you are okay with it, then leave it! there's no reason you should try to satisfy the lookers on the beach. seriously...leave it be. :)

Well, It's your desion if you feel that they dislike you because you have a hairy back and chest then you should'nt let that bother you. But personally I'd prfer that you wax.

I think the majority like the no hair look, but you should consider waxing instead of shaving.
