6 times called 4 times chosen. 3 of the times chosen didn't need the trial, settled out of court, so I was not needed. The last time chosen was for a criminal trial where an elderly man was carjacked and stabbed, he didn't die, otherwise the trial would have taken an entirely different nature and a lot longer. He turned down a 25 year offer from the DA and we gave him 55 years. 27and 1/2 years before eligible for parole, this was the 4th time he was convicted for violent crimes. For a 47 year old man 27 years from now he will be harmless. Since he has had many chances and he went back to do harm again and again.

I have been called twice, but never actually had to serve. I was active duty military the first time, which made me exempt. The second time I had to actually go in but was not chosen to sit on a jury.

Once I was called for City jury duty. I showed up every day for a week and was unable to serve as I knew at least one person in every case they called. (small city of 22,000). I guess I ran with a rough crowd then. :-)

3 times myself (in 14 years). I served once (became foreman), excused once (on active duty in Korea) and sat through whole day but never was used once.

None and I so want to be. I think that is the thing...you have to want to and you never get summoned. If you are too busy, then you will surely get that letter. BTW-you have to be registered to vote to get called up.
