this wasn't cheap new and just jammed i stripped it down but can't get it to go again, i've managed to release the pulling handle tho. originally i thought something was trapped or it got too hot. any ideas?

Ryobi is a lower end quality trimmer, and propably not worth the time or hassle to fix. You probably only paid $120 for it, and you got what you paid for. If I were you. I would buy an ECHO brand or Tanaka. They are very good machines, but cost more.
In you're next "Question" you should give more details on your issues with the machine. People like me fix them for a living and could give you ideas on how to fix them yourself.

Ryobi equipment seem to big in Ireland so try an Irish web site
.Also i think Argos in Ireland sell them.

try calling the comp and ask for the specs might be easyer then tearing your hair out trying to filter out all the diff answers...
