It's not too late at all. I didn't really learn until I was about 18.
A lot of local parks departments offer lessons. Or you could have a friend teach you.

You sound like 25 is close to dead! Of course it is not too late to learn to swim. You are never too old to learn something new. And learning to swim could save your life or someone elses someday. And swimming is really fun and good exercise. The Y has classes for adults.

25 is a great age to learn to swim! I'm a scuba instructor and we had a guy come into our shop wanting to learn to scuba dive. The problem was that he couldn't swim and he was over 60 years old. The instructor that he got was very patient and worked with him before each scuba class and he was swimming well enough in just a few weeks to do the required 200 yars swim and 10 minute float.
Find someone you trust and that is patient or go to a YMCA. Learning to swim isn't difficult.

First, it is never too late to learn anything in life! Go take a beginner's swim class at a local YMCA or community/junior college. I learned how to swim when I was 30. Good Luck!!

its never too late to swim...or do anything for that matter. best method to learn is to go to a swim class and take lessons. or even to go to a water aerobics class to get used to the feel of the water and moving around in it.

Of course not. My friend at work was 45 last year when he learned at the YMCA. Try them or if you're not close to a YMCA then try the local high school...most schools with pools offer summertime swimming classes.

It is never to late to do anything in live. Swimming being one of them, get your self registered in a swimming class or go with a friend who knows how to swim. Swimming is simple and easy, relax, and enjoy it and you will find yourself floating in no time.
Enjoy it and never give up.
Best of luck.

No. I would hire a private teacher. She would probably charge about $50 an hour for 10 lessons.

its never to late. sign up for personal swim lessons with a WSI lifeguard (that means that they have passed a water safety instruction class). it will be more private so you won't have to be with kids or anything
