Let me tell you this: first, he lied to the whole world about Saddam's alleged acquiring of WMD's, but there was no evidence of it; and second, he wanted to get his greedy, and I emphasize greedy, hands on the Iraqi black gold on behalf of his oil exec buddies (he was an oilman before becoming a politician). Those two reasons above are why he started the illegal war in Iraq. Now look at it like this-the illegal war he started has since turned into a messy quagmire that has killed off many of our soldiers. I hear about that mess in the news on a daily basis. That nonsense has also fueled the insurgency there and has increased the risk of terrorism here at home and around the world! Let's thank him for the mess he made. And let's also thank him for the illegal war he started that has caused a huge backlash against him. I'm for impeaching this 2000 election-stealing punk!

Originally, when his father was in office, Saddam invaded Kuwait. We had some oil interests, as well as politcal allies in Kuwait. We told Saddam to back off and he did not. We kicked him out but didn't invade Iraq completely.
After 9/11, the intelligence communities of our Allies and the US were indicating Iraq may have Weapons of Mass Destruction, such as chemical and biological weapons. Saddam actually used these weapons against his own people, and the Iranians. Recently, Chemical weapons were found in Iraq.
In Hind sight, I think we may a mistake. We should have left Saddam alone.

It has been on going since Bush senior when Saddam invaded Kuwait.Senior stopped after Saddam was driven back.Clinton continued it with cruise missiles because Saddam continued war production. After 9/11 we could no longer afford to have an openly hostile leader who was in violation of UN sanctions funding and or arming terroists.G.W. took him completely out of power which no one else was willing to do.If we had the guts and the reason we should also take out Iran.

Look into his ties to Saudi Arabia (A Sunni country vs. Shiites in Iran) who are making tons of money because of Iraq's problems and his ties to Carlyle Group and its military contracting friends. They all made money, lost no sons/daughters in the war, and have nothing to lose by starting more wars.

weapons of mass destruction. iraq was a threat. we needed to go in and find them for ourselves bc he wasnt cooperating with the weapon inspectors. everyone believed they were there. and sadam hussein was an idiot who was killing his own people through torture and inhuman actions like shredding them in a human paper shredder. now didnt that make sense to take some action over there
