Just because there is some discrimination does not mean that the entire civilization "does not work". Every country in the world has problems of some sort, and discrimination is even more severe in most parts of the world than it is in the US, but you seem to have decided to believe something rather than to know something. Does the tension between Northern Italians and Southern Italians mean that Italy's unified nation does not work? Have you even been to the US? Our economy is the biggest in the world, and the main problem most people seem to have with us is that we are too strong, too powerful -- which makes you seem foolish to suggest that American civilization does not work. It seems to be working just fine, too well for some -- and has been for more than 200 years, while Europe's "enlightened civilization" has belched forth Nazis, Communists, Fascists, concentration camps, holocausts, and so on. America can still get better, but you are wrong, wrong, wrong when you pretend that America does not work. Your question assumes nonsense and should be rethought.

It works with those who want it to work. America is probably the most mutiethnic diverse society on Earth. Not sure, just a guess. I feel people enjoy the versatility of the various cultures. Especially FOOD! Ha! But, many feel their culture/beliefs are all that matter, guess this those people refer to as Racists. Those people are in every culture, guess they a separate ethnic breed of their own.
For those unfamiliar with your second Sentence; it the same as the first I believe. That another aspect of America. Our language is made up from many languages, usually you can know what something say in another language through Phonics and Word structure. Shooting from the "Hip" I would translate it as; "Why in USA nation is multiethnic non-functional....as in Discrimination?

What makes you think that multiethnic civilization does work? We have come a long way in improving race relations around the world. Yes, there are still some problems but I think most of the world works continuously to make it better. Are you contributing to make it better? Maybe you should take another look at yourself.

Multiplicity in ethnicity is not the sole spoiler in any society trying to make its way through every day life.
Every society needs to support variety and understanding and tolerance.
Every person needs to divest themselves of acting on anger, superstition, projection, intolerance and prejudice.
It is a process of evolution, education and meditation and asking questions.

I think you must be mistaken... We are working on it everyday, as Rome was built. In another 1,000 years we will all be cafe au lait in color, white supremacy will be a crusty old joke, multi-galacticaly some form of English will be spoken. We will be one world, one people.
