With multiple countries involved in the middle east, it seems the USA is calling all the shots on prisoner treatment. What about the opinion of other countries who are also losing soldiers in the war?

How do you know that the US isn't conferring with the leaders of the other coalition forces in handling prisoners?

However, the US is the "leading" country involved in the Middle East with the most troups there. I think that gives them the right to make the major decisions.

In the international law of war, it is the nation that takes and holds the prisoners that has authority and responsibility for their handling and processing.

While the input of our allies might be helpful, the current administration has not demonstrated much willingness to listen to others either domestically or internationally. If it seems like our government is calling all the shots, that is probably because that is how this President insists on doing things: unilaterally.

Well fine except for one thing, not one of them has offered to take them they'd much rather let us keep them and then beat us over the head for it,as usual. Does the term hypocrisy mean anything to anybody !!!!. It must be great to have someone that you can accuse of anything that comes down the pike whenever you want yet offer nothing to deal with the situation themselves, maybe the US should start taking a page from their playbook then we're guaranteed to lose the war on terror since we've seen
the result of appeasing an enemy before, can you say WWII.

Well, when you say other countrie,s lets look at the Coalition. My Country, Britain, is led by Blair, the worthless poodle prime minister. Australia, similarily, is governed byt Bush's 'Sheriff' in the pacific. The majority of Europe stood against the coalition as did many other Civilised nations. Its just a coalition of the bully nations

Every country envolved is taking their own prisoners, not just the US. The US is just the largest occupier over there so we draw the biggest attention. So naturally, when we screw up....we screw up on a bigger scale.

Force Majeur -- they're stronger than any of their "partners" so they call the shots. The USA has no allies, just lapdogs and bootlickers.
