i have AMD Athlon 64 processor. it seems to get heated up a lot these days.

An additional case fan might help, check and clean out the dust from the heat exchanger, that seems to be the major problem on most cpu heat sinks! You can get cans of compressed air to blow it out from computer shop and use small paint brush to sweep it out too!

You should do what Rowdy answers said, also you don't want your hardware to malfunction it would be the best thing to add a couple of fans, or if you want to get extreme water cooling or fridge case is good but you got to know what your doing first. i have installed 3 CPUfan...total of 5 CPU fans
processor heats up easily...
i dont see any effects on my computer...
