Have there been any major changes in his life recently? Sometimes when big changes are made in a childs life (such as a new family member.. moving.. etc) children revert back to this sort of behavior unconciously because they're stressed out
On the other hand, its also completely normal.. alot of kids wet the bed somewhat later in life.. you may consider consulting his pediatrician, I know there is medication that can be given to help him hold his bladder in his sleep if he is having a functionality problem

i'm no longer certain about different cultures, yet right here contained in the western international this isn't the norm, and eric the pink is ideal that child psychologists have many times pronounced it really is unfavorable to a new child's progression. the very incontrovertible reality that you go away your marital mattress to flow cuddle with your 8 12 months previous son alerts that there is an exceedingly large project right here. i'm no longer keeping you're a pedophile or something, besides the undeniable fact that the overall public of persons who hear your tale will absolutely imagine so. that's what your spouse is for. In many years your son will commence masterbating even. Will he do this for the period of your mattress too? i'm afraid you're performing some extreme psychological damage on your youngster and he will want remedy. and under no circumstances to be advise or something, yet i trust you want it too.

if you are a newlywed or his mom has a new relationship these are big adjustments for a child.
dad may want to talk to him and give him reassurance that their relationship, no matter what else changes is solid. mom may want to do the same if it's happening at home too.
keep the lines of love & communication open. be mindfull of what is is going on in his life. although accidents do happen, sometimes they're symptoms of other things like stress, fear, etc.
i had a friend who was so fearful of cats that she began bedwetting at 16 after her mom got one.
(not to alarm you,but)
they can also be symptoms of abuse. in the group homes i worked for some children would wet/deficate to make themselves unappealing to their abusers. while in the group home the behavior continued if the child had a bad dream
relating to those events.

my brother used to wet the bed....i dont know why though. Its natural for some kids to do it at older ages though. If they are really heavy sleepers the fact that they have to pee mite not wake 'em up. Also if they are too excited when they go to bed. That causes problems too. Hope i helped ya!

Sorry to hear that! Maybe he was scared to wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. That's probably all it is... he's in a different place so maybe he forgot to go or didn't feel comfortable getting up in the night and waking you up by making noise.
