Why do I find 99% of women from my own race -- white -- unattractive, but find so many Asians attractive?

If possible, please give an answer which explains rather than labels.

I've tried to be in relationships with white women, but it felt like a duty. In my relationships with Asian women, I couldn't keep my hands off them. That was not the case with white women.

Now I am consulting in China and these women are even more beautiful than any mixed-race Asian, imho. By attractive, I mean physically and in their mannerisms -- usually subtle.

I went to a therapist to figure it out. He said I was looking for 'something other than mother.' My mom has curly redhair and green eyes -- I had to agree :)

princess: everything here is for whitening skin. Women -- some guys even -- walk around with ub\mbrellas on sunny days to keep their skin white, I am trying to but sunblock to prevent myself from turning intio a tomato, but ever sunblock has whitener in it. I'm already transparent -- this stuff makes me ghostlike!

I'm the complete opposite. I find 99% of asian women unattractive, and white/eurasian/indian/hispanic to be more attractive. But then again, I'm Asian. All my previous relationships have been with white or some other non-east asian race. I live in the U.S. in a pre-dominantly white neighborhood.

You're living in China right? I think I figured it out and perhaps others can shed some light. Perhaps it has to do with assimilation Do you think you find other races more attractive because you'll be more socially acceptable? I have very few asian friends; perhaps environment is an influence. Not wanting my gf to look like my mother might also be a factor!

I guess your race has weirdo looking people, but us Asians are good looking. OK not really. Probably most of the really pretty Asian girls are crossed with an American. Either their mother is Asian, and their father is American, or vice versa. I'm half and half too. But the straight Asian blooded girls, like full Japanese, Cantonese, or Chinese girls really aren't that attractive to the American guys, but the Asian guys get big kicks off of both races. Same here... I'm Asian and I'm more attracted to foreign guys. It's probably because the Asian look is what I see everyday. It's too common. For example, you people(whites) want to get a tan, but here, people go for skin whitening products. Almost all of us got tanned skin so fair skin is more attractive... but there, many of you got fair skin, so tanned is more attractive...

i am an Asian,an Indian and a bengali.i am also fair but here the skin colour that we said to be fair in your country you say it to be tanned.and the skin texture is highly rich due to extreme moisture in air.
some time the relative humidity amout reaches upto 90% in air.in that respect europian countries are rather dry,which also make your skin look dry and dull.
in our country ,the weather is comparatively hotter,so we drink lots of water and fruit to hydrate our system.

in asian countries due to hotter weather the amount of melanin pigment in our skin is more than yours.

lastly i ll like to tell that you may not believe that on one side you people try to get yourself tanned in sun to be attracted ,on other side here in INDIA,people uses various creams and co9smatics to look fairer,they even avoid the direct sunlight to be ATTRACTED!!!

it is so because asian skin has charm. i hope u dont mind. even if asian skin is taned it does not look bad .but when white skin get taned it acquire a different colour which looks bad.for more explaination contact me on my id. good bye plz mind that i didnt mean 2 hurt u.

how do you define "attractive"? in terms of looks? figure?personality? etc? You have your own perception and preference, therefore finding 99% of your own race women unattractive..things that are hard to get will seem to be more "attractive" and " interesting"....
